Reports say Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger, has turned down the chance to re-sign Cesc Fabregas from
Barcelona. The Spanish playmaker is almost certain to leave the Nou Camp this
summer, with England believed to be his preferred destination.
Fabregas
left the Emirates to return to his boyhood club in 2011 and with his rumoured
availability, speculations were rife that a return to Arsenal was on the cards,
especially since the Gunners inserted a £25m buy-back clause in his contract.
But with Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky already at the club,
Wenger has decided to chase other priorities, most especially a new striker and
a defensive midfielder.
